RINGS Project

Dear RINGS Project Participant:

Welcome! Thank you for making the Readiness and Resilience in National Guard Soldiers (RINGS) Project a success. As a participant, you have played a central role in advancing our understanding about the experiences of soldiers and their families. Through your partnership, the RINGS Project has been making discoveries about resilience to promote the wellbeing of soldiers, veterans, and their partners. RINGS data are still being used by our research team to inform and enhance healthcare delivery. We are grateful for your continued enthusiasm and commitment to this project.

The scientific community recognizes the special nature of the RINGS cohort of participants. As a result, the RINGS Project has received generous new grant funding to allow the study to enter a new phase. Your continued involvement in this new wave of data collection is critical for helping us answer new questions about post-deployment health and wellbeing.

On this site, you will find more detailed descriptions about the RINGS Project and information about participating in the latest survey. As a group of researchers, we are excited to learn more about how soldiers and their partners have been shaped by their experiences. With your help, we can generate new scientific findings to help shape the outcomes of future soldiers and their families.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Best Wishes,

Melissa Polusny, Ph.D., LP, RINGS Project Lead

Christopher Erbes, Ph.D., ABPP, RINGS Project Co-Lead
